RI case study

ASDWA has now posted the video recording of the August 29th Clean Water Act – Safe Drinking Water Act (CWA-SDWA) Webinar entitled, “Creative Uses of Clean Water Funding for Drinking Water Benefits,” featuring stories from Virginia and Washington, along with a new case study from Rhode Island on its website.

  • The August 29th ASDWA webinar highlights how the Virginia and Washington Drinking Water Programs and the Skagit Public Utilities District (in Washington) collaborated with their state Clean Water Programs and other partners to creatively use some non-traditional funding routes to benefit their drinking water utilities, including one very small and disadvantaged water system.
  • The Rhode Island case study shares how the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, in partnership with the Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, has administered three Clean Water State Revolving Fund loans for purchasing land within critical drinking water watersheds throughout the state to protect source waters.
